academic shooting

1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to get close, capture real moments, and capture action or emotion? How did you deal with these?

-During my shoot i couldn't get to close because the students needed all the space they could get to build their robots, but when i did get close some students tried to hold a pose. When that happened I just went to another group.

2. What technical aspects of photography (focus, exposure, composition) did you find yourself thinking about the most, and how did you make sure you did these correctly?

I really focused on my photos being in focus. I would aim at one thing and made sure it was in sharp focus.

3. Describe how you attempted to use at least one of the advanced composition techniques when you shot.

I attempted to use simplicity by focusing on the little things that were the most important parts of the students projects.

Bob Rosato's Favorite Shots

Focal length of lens - he used a camera with a focal length of 70-200mm
Shutter Speed -1/640
What is the effect of shooting at this shutter speed?- Shooting at this shutter speed allowed the photographer to capture the fast action.
Aperture-2.28
What is the effect (Depth of field) of shooting at this aperture?- Because the shutter speed was so fast, a bigger aperture allowed more light into the camera.
Position - Describe where you think the photographer was standing to get this shot.- the photographer had to be somewhere close to the sidelines because the photo was close up and right in the action.
